The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
