We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
