The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
