The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
