'Aad denied the messengers 123 When their brother Hud said unto them: fear ye not? 124 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 I ask no recompense of you; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 127 “What! You build a structure on every height, to laugh at the passers-by?” 128 "And do ye get for yourselves fine buildings in the hope of living therein (for ever)? 129 When you attack, you attack as tyrants do. 130 So fear Allah, and obey me. 131 Have fear of the One who has bestowed upon you all that you know. 132 succoured you with flocks and sons, 133 "And Gardens and Springs. 134 Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. 135 They said, “It is the same for us, whether you advise us or not be of the preachers.” 136 this is nothing but the habit of the ancients, 137 and we are not going to be chastised [for adhering to it]!" 138 In response they denied him – We therefore destroyed them; indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 139 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 140
