3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
