Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
