Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
