▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by the setting places of the stars. 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
