Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 about the sinners. 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
