Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
A. L. M. 1 These are the verses of the sagacious Book, 2 A guidance and mercy for the righteous 3 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and accept faith in the Hereafter. 4 They are on guidance from their Lord, and will prosper. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! 7 But for those who believe and do good works are Gardens of Bliss, 8 To abide therein. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. 10 This is God's creation; now show me what those have created that are apart from Him! Nay, but the evildoers are in manifest error. 11
