Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
