The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Of what do they question one another? 1 Of the mighty Announcement, 2 Concerning which they differ. 3 Indeed they will come to know soon; 4 Again, indeed, they shall know! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse, 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. 9 and the night as a cover, 10 and We made the day for a livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 And have appointed a dazzling lamp, 13 And then sent down hard rain from the water bearing clouds. 14 Thereby to produce grain and plant, 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 Indeed the Day of Decision is a time fixed. 17 The Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and you shall come forth in crowds (groups); 18 The heavens will have openings like doors. 19 and the mountains will be set in motion and become a mirage. 20 Verily the Hell is an ambuscade: 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 therein they shall abide for ages, 23 They will not taste therein cool or any drink. 24 Except hot boiling water and hot pus discharged from the people of hell. 25 , A fitting reward. 26 Indeed, they did not hope for a Reckoning, 27 And called Our communications a lie, giving the lie (to the truth). 28 but We have placed on record every single thing [of what they did]. 29 So taste! for We will not add to you aught but chastisement. 30
