And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 not even a word can he utter but there is a watcher with him, ever-present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 He (Allah) will say: 'Do not dispute before Me. I sent you a warning beforehand. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
