The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
