The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
