So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said: "Ye appear to be uncommon folk." 62 They said: Nay, but we bring thee that concerning which they keep disputing, 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 "So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded." 65 And We made plain the case to him, that the root of them (who did wrong) was to be cut at early morn. 66 And the people of the city came, rejoicing at the news (of new arrivals). 67 rushed towards the house of Lot. Lot said to them, "These are my guests. Do not disgrace me. 68 but be conscious of God and disgrace me not!" 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing' 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Herein are really signs for those who discern. 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 So We took vengeance on them. Both are still there on the highway, plain for all to see. 79

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
