Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
