The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 who observe Zakah; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
