▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 right before your very eyes? 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
