Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 even though they make excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 Thus, when We recite it, follow thou its wording [with all thy mind]: 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
