Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
