Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
