The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
O you who are clothed! 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 Proclaim the glory of your Lord; 3 And keep your clothes clean. 4 And stay away from idols. 5 And do not through giving seek thyself to gain, 6 But, for thy Lord's (Cause), be patient and constant! 7 For when the trumpet shall sound, 8 Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day. 9 for the unbelievers not easy. 10 Leave Me alone with he whom I created 11 and appointed for him ample wealth 12 and sons that stand in witness. 13 and whom I have provided with every resource, 14 Then he desires that I should add more. 15 Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations. 16 On him I shall impose a fearful doom. 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 death seize him, how he determined! 19 yea, he destroys himself, the way he meditates! 20 Then he looked around, 21 frowned and scowled, 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 Then he said: naught is this but magic from of old; 24 "This is nothing but the word of a human being!" 25 I will cast him into hell. 26 And what knoweth thou that which the Scorching Fire? 27 It neither spares, nor releases, 28 It strips away the hide of man. 29 Over it are nineteen [angels]. 30 For We have caused none but angelic powers to lord over the fire [of hell]; and We have not caused their number to be aught but a trial for those who are bent on denying the truth - to the end that they who have been granted revelation aforetime might be convinced [of the truth of this divine writ]; and that they who have attained to faith [in it] might grow yet more firm in their faith; and that [both] they who have been granted the earlier revelation and they who believe [in this one] might be freed of all doubt; and that they in whose hearts is disease and they who deny the truth outright might ask, "What does [your] God mean by this parable?" In this way God lets go astray him that wills [to go astray,] and guides aright him that wills [to be guided]. And none can comprehend thy Sustainers forces save Him alone: and all this is but a reminder to mortal man. 31

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
