And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
