The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
