And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45). 30 And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper. 31 And of His portents are the ships, like banners on the sea; 32 If He pleases, He causes the wind to become still so that they lie motionless on its back; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one, 33 He may, while forgiving much of the sins of those that ride these ships, drown them on account of some of their misdeeds. 34 Then those who wrangle about Our Signs will come to know that there is no escape for them. 35 Whatever you have received is only for usage in the life of this world, and that which is with Allah is much better and more lasting – for those who believe and rely upon their Lord. 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 Those who hearken to their Lord, and establish regular Prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; 38 And those who, when great wrong afflicts them, defend themselves. 39 The guerdon of an ill-deed is an ill the like thereof. But whosoever pardoneth and amendeth, his wage is the affair of Allah. Lo! He loveth not wrong-doers. 40 And there is no way of reproach against those who take revenge after being wronged. 41 The blame is only against those who wrong people, and are wrongfully insolent in the earth, for them there is a painful punishment. 42 And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah. 43
