The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
