Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of Allah - He will waste their deeds. 1 But those who believe and do the right, and believe what has been revealed to Muhammad, which is the truth from their Lord, will have their faults condoned by Him and their state improved. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons. 3 Now when ye meet those who disbelieve, smite their necks until when ye have slain them greatly, then make fast the bonds; then, thereafter let them off either freely or by ransom, until the war layeth down the burthens thereof. That ye shall do. And had Allah willed, He would have vindicated Himself against them, but He ordained fighting in order that He may prove you one by the other. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He shall not send their works astray. 4 He will guide them [in the hereafter as well,] and will set their hearts at rest, 5 And bring them in unto the Garden which He hath made known to them. 6 O People who Believe! If you help the religion of Allah, He will help you and will stabilise you. 7 But as for the unbelievers, ill chance shall befall them! He will send their works astray. 8 this, because they hate [the very thought of] what God has bestowed from on high and thus He causes all their deeds to come to nought! 9 ۞ Have they not travelled through the earth, and seen what was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed them completely and a similar (fate awaits) the disbelievers. 10 That is because Allah is the patron of those who believe, and because the infidels! no patron is theirs. 11
