The chiefs of the people of Fir'awn said: verily this is a magician knowing. 109 Who would expel you from your land. Now what do ye advise? 110 They said: "Put him and his brother off (awhile) and send out heralds to the cities 111 who should bring to you every skillful magician." 112 So there came the sorcerers to Pharaoh: They said, "of course we shall have a (suitable) reward if we win!" 113 He said, "Yes, and, [moreover], you will be among those made near [to me]." 114 They said, 'Moses, wilt thou cast, or shall we be the casters?' 115 He said: Cast. So when they cast, they deceived the people's eyes and frightened them, and they produced a mighty enchantment. 116 Then We inspired Moses, saying, "Throw down your staff." And it immediately swallowed up their false devices. 117 ۞ Thus the Truth prevailed and their false art was banished. 118 They were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated. 119 And the enchanters were thrown down, prostrating (themselves). 120 They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, 121 "The Lord of Moses and Aaron." 122 Said Firaun, “You have accepted faith in Him before I gave you permission! This is indeed a grand conspiracy you have plotted in the city, in order to expel its people from it; so now you will come to know!” 123 "Surely, I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then I will crucify you all." 124 They said, “We shall return to our Lord.” 125 Will you punish us just because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us? Our Lord! Shower us with perseverance and cause us to die as those who have submitted [to You].' 126

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
