Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
