Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
