Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
