Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
