The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has taught the Koran. 2 has created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
