The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 and produce sparks 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
