NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
