The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil). 2 Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them; 3 Who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed to those before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord; and they are the successful. 5 As for those whose fate is disbelief, whether you warn them or do not warn them – it is all one for them; they will not believe. (Because their hearts are sealed – see next verse). 6 Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom. 7
