The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 Those are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 9
