The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
