Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
