The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
