And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
