And those who deny Our revelations - step by step We lead them on from whence they know not. 182 and I respite them -- assuredly My guile is sure. 183 Have they not bethought them (that) there is no madness in their comrade? He is but a plain warner. 184 Or have they not considered the dominion of the heaven and of the earth, and what things God has created, and that it may be their term is already nigh? In what manner of discourse then will they after this believe? 185 Whomsoever God leads astray, no guide he has; He leaves them in their insolence blindly wandering. 186 They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most of the people do not know." 187 Say, "I myself have no power to benefit or do harm, save as God pleases. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I would have availed myself of an abundance of good, and no harm would have touched me. I am but a warner and a bearer of good tidings for those who will believe." 188
