Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
