The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
