Thamud denied the warning 23 For they said: "What! a man! a Solitary one from among ourselves! shall we follow such a one? Truly should we then be straying in mind, and mad! 24 "Is it that the Message is sent to him, of all people amongst us? Nay, he is a liar, an insolent one!" 25 Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one! 26 Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient. 27 And tell them that the water [of the well] is to be divided between them, and that each one should drink in turn." 28 But they called their comrade and he took (a sword) and killed (her). 29 Then see how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings! 30 We sent a single blast against them, and they were reduced to husks of a decayed fence. 31 We have made the Koran an easy Remembrance, is there any that will remember! 32 The people of Lut rejected (his) warning. 33 Indeed We sent a shower of stones upon them, except the family of Lut; We rescued them before dawn. 34 as a blessing from Us: thus do We reward all who are grateful. 35 And he [Lout (Lot)] indeed had warned them of Our Grasp, but they did doubt the warnings! 36 They demanded that he turn over his guests to them. We struck their faces, blinded them and said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 37 One early morning Our torment brought upon them utter destruction. 38 Taste then My torment and My warnings. 39 We have made the Koran an easy Remembrance, is there any that will remember! 40
