The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
