Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
