The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn, 2 Proclaim the glory of your Lord; 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 shun uncleanness; 5 And do not favour others in order to receive more. 6 And for the sake of your Lord, patiently endure. 7 And when the trumpet is blown, 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 For the infidels, not easy. 10 Leave Me alone [to deal] with him whom I have created alone, 11 And gave him vast wealth. 12 And children present [with him] 13 To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable! 14 And who yet coveteth that shall increase. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 [and so] I shall constrain him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 For he thought and he plotted -- 18 May he be accursed, how he planned! 19 Yea, Woe to him; How he plotted!- 20 and then he looks [around for new arguments,] 21 frowned and scowled; 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 and says, "All this is mere spellbinding eloquence handed down [from olden times]! 24 "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 I will drive him into Saqar. 26 and what will teach thee what is Sakar? 27 It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned], 28 making [all truth] visible to mortal man. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). 30 We have not appointed the guards of hell, except angels; and did not keep this number except to test the disbelievers in order that the People given the Book(s) may be convinced, and to increase the faith of the believers and so that the People given the Book(s) and the Muslims may not have any doubt and so that those in whose hearts is a disease and the disbelievers, may say, “What does Allah mean by this amazing example?” This is how Allah sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills; and no one knows the armies of Allah except Him; and this is not but an advice to man. 31

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
